
Raoof Sahigara (14 June 1957-15 December 1985) was an IRGC colonel during the Iran-Iraq War.
Biography[]
Raoof Sahigara was born on 14 June 1957 in Semnan, Kingdom of Iran to a Shia Muslim family. Sahigara took part in the 1979 Iranian Revolution as a protester, and he volunteered to join the Pasdaran paramilitary force of the new Islamic republic of Iran. Sahigara was a colonel, and he commanded his forces on the frontlines against Iraq along the border. He was killed in action in a failed assault on an Iraqi trench along the border on 15 December 1985.
