Ramon Feliz (1983-2019) was a Bolivian blogger who was forced to write positive coverage of the Santa Blanca Cartel until he was murdered for leaking their child trafficking operation on his website.
Biography[]
Ramon Feliz was born in Santa Elena, La Cruz Province, Bolivia in 1983. He authored a blog that covered the Santa Blanca Cartel's reign of terror following its arrival in the country in 2013, but the cartel eventually intimidated him into becoming a propagandist for them. After being kidnapped and tortured by Rodrigo Carlos Pérez Morales, he wrote glowing articles about the cartel's building of schools and provision of essential services to the poor.
In 2019, however, Feliz discovered the cartel's involvement in the trafficking of child slaves to Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, and a disgusted Feliz decided to make the information public. The cartel responded by sending a hit squad to murder him, and Naldo Galán Morales shot him and arranged his body in a graphic display on his wall before taking a selfie with it. Using this photo, American special forces tracked down the killer and recovered the files on Santa Blanca that were stolen from Feliz's computer.
