The Rally of the Republicans (RDR) is a liberal political party in Cote d'Ivoire that was founded in June 1994 by Alassane Ouattara. The party, an offshoot from the Democratic Party of Cote d'Ivoire, advocated centrist views, and its main support base came from the north of the country. The party was led by the economist Ouattara from 1999, and Ouattara was constantly prevented from assuming the presidency by the authoritarian regimes. In 2010, Ouattara was elected President of Cote d'Ivoire.
