Rajan Sampat (died 2015) was the Indian consul in Amman, Jordan during the 2010s. In 2015, following RAW's assassination of Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Mukul Qureshi in Syria, the Pakistani ISI retaliated against India by having ISI operative Roshan Basra assassinate Sampat in an apartment bombing which was made to appear like a gas leak. Sampat's death in a "gas leak" was compared to that of LeT commander Sajid Majid, leading to media speculation that India was responsible for Majid's death, and that Pakistan and the LeT retaliated by killing Sampat.
