Raghad Hussein (born 2 September 1968) was the eldest daughter of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Biography[]
Raghad Hussein was born on 2 September 1968, and in 1983 she married Hussein Kamel al-Majid. She had three sons and two daughters with him, and they fled Iraq in 1995 for Jordan when Kamel and his brother Saddam Kamel (also a son-in-law of Saddam Hussein with Rana Saddam) decided to defect due to Saddam's nepotism. Later, they were convinced to return to Iraq with their wives after being promised mercy, but they were ordered to divorce their wives and were denounced as traitors before being killed. Hussein was allowed into Jordan as a guest of the Hashemites and King Abdullah II of Jordan, and in 2006 Raghad and her mother Sajida Talfah were put on a wanted list due to their support of the Iraqi insurgents against the United States and the Shi'ite government of Iraq. In 2006, when her father was executed, she said that she wanted her father's body to be buried in Yemen until the coalition was forced out of Iraq, and on 31 August 2014 Fox News found out that she had the intention of returning to avenging power in Baghdad. Hussein and her aides sent double-digit millions of dollars to assist the Islamic State in their insurgency in Iraq, and she was nicknamed the "Terror Godmother".
