Biography[]
Rafiza Ahmed Bonna was a citizen of the United States from Bangladesh, and she wrote and published books that were seen by some as criticizing Islam. al-Qaeda accused her of mocking Islam and cursing Allah and Muhammad, so on 26 February 2015 she was wounded by attackers in Dhaka; she was not killed because she was a woman.
