Raeti

The Raeti were a confederation of Celts that inhabited central Switzerland, the Austrian region of Tyrol, and some parts of northern Italy from 500 BC to 15 BC. The Raeti were indigenous Alpine people, although there was a theory that they were also Etruscans who were displaced from the Po Valley by the Gauls. In 15 BC, the Roman Empire subjugated the Raeti and Vindelici, and the Raeti quickly became loyal subjects of the empire.
