Ra was the sun god of Ancient Egyptain mythology. The brother of Apep, Sobek, and Serket, he fathered Shu, Tefnut, Hathor, Sekhmet, Mafdet, Bastet, Satet, Anhur, Ma'at, and Mut. Ra ruled in the sky, earth, and underworld and was said to have been the first pharaoh of Egypt, and he was portrayed as a falcon. He was said to have created all forms of life.
