Quneitra Governorate is one of the fourteen governorates of Syria, located along the Golan Heights in southern Syria. It borders Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan, and it had a small population of 87,000 people in 2010; most of the region is Israeli-occupied, leaving only a small sliver of land in Quneitra. The former capital of Quneitra has been abandoned for years, and Ba'ath City is the de facto capital.
