
Queen Fathia of Berbera (753-21 February 776) was a queen of Berbera with Yusuf of Berbera from 769 to 774.
Biography[]
Fathia was born in 753 to a family of Muslim Somalis, and she married King Yusuf of Berbera in 769 as one of his consorts. She gave birth to two sons, Omar (born 771) and Ibrahim (born 774), the latter of which was born after the death of Yusuf on 10 September 774. Fathia became a courtier under the rule of her stepson Muhammad I of Berbera and his regent, the former Queen Basr of Berbera, being reduced to a commoner once more. She died on 21 February 776 at the age of 23 of poor health.
