Qaghan Beg was Khan of the Golden Horde from 1375 to 1377, succeeding Urus Khan and preceding Arab Shah. The son of Il Beg, he captured Sarai during a civil war within the Golden Horde and intervened in Russian affairs, competing with Mamai and his puppet khan Muhammad Sultan. He allied with Muscovy and Nizhny Novgorod against Mamai, but Mamai burned Nizhny Novgorod in 1377 and deposed Qaghan Beg. Qaghan Beg was left alive by the usurper Arab Shah and was given control over the Shaybanid homelands to the east.
