Prospect Park is a 526-acre public park in Brooklyn, New York City. It opened in 1867, after the completion of Manhattan's Central Park; it underwent several modifications and expansions to its facilities over the next century and for decades afterwards. By 2014, the park enjoyed over 8 million visitors annually.
