Prokofy Dzhaparidze (15 January 1880-20 September 1918) was a Bolshevik revolutionary who was one of the 26 Baku Commissars during the Russian Civil War.
Biography[]
Prokofy Dzhaparidze was born on 15 January 1880 in Racha, Kutaisi Governorate, Russian Empire (now Racha-Lechkhumi, Republic of Georgia) to a family of landowners, and he joined the Bolsheviks in 1898. Dzhaparidze was exiled several times due to his communist activities, and he attempted to spread socialist ideals throughout the Caucasus region during the Russian Revolution. In 1918, he was captured by the White Army after the fall of the commune to the anti-Soviets, and he was executed by firing squad on 20 September 1918.
