The Prison Rosario raid occurred in 2019 when American special forces raided the village-turned-prison of Rosario in Bolivia's San Mateo Province, intent on finding information about the hundreds of locals whom the Santa Blanca Cartel had "disappeared."
Santa Blanca turned the entire village of Rosario into a prison camp. The office of the camp warden was likely to contain records of prisoners who had been detained there, so Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team helicoptered into the village to clear it out. The Americans moved through several civilian shacks as they stealthily took out the sicarios, only to be spotted by two Unidad soldiers who were interacting with the locals. The ensuing shootout saw the Americans push through the village, fight their way up a hill, shoot down cartel helicopters with the prison's minigun, and hack the warden's computer. The Americans uncovered a large number of records, enabling them to gather information on the disappearances in San Mateo.
