Prince-Bishop Florenc of Orbetello (born 2 November 1312) was the Prince-Bishop of Orbetello from 9 July 1338.
Biography[]
Florenc was born on 2 November 1312 to a family of Catholic Occitans in the Comtat Venaissin enclave of the Papal States in southern France, and he was ordained as a priest. On 9 July 1338, Pope Benedict XII granted him the Prince-Bishopric of Orbetello, one of the few instances of a Pope giving away Orbetello to a person other than himself.
