
Premjit Singh (died spring 1930) was the Maharajah of Benares until his death in 1930.
Biography[]
Premjit Singh was born to the Singh family, who ruled the province of Benares within the Princely States of India. In 1930, he was poisoned by the Thuggee cult after threatening to expose them to the British rulers of India, and died in a riding accident. He was succeeded by Zalim Singh.
