Pourang Dodhi (2 October 1933-14 May 1986) was an Iranian imam and Basij officer during the Iran-Iraq War.
Biography[]
Pourang Dodhi was born on 2 October 1933 in Shahrekord, Iran to a Shia Muslim family, and he was ordained as an imam. Dodhi was active in the anti-Shah protests in the Iranian Revolution of 1978-79, and after the uprising succeeded, he joined the Basij paramilitary of Ayatollah Khomeini. On 14 May 1986, Dodhi was killed in action in the Iran-Iraq War with Ba'athist Iraq.
