The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC) is a Palestinian nationalist militant group based in Damascus, Syria. It was founded in 1968 by Ahmed Jibril after a divide with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) group of George Habash, and the group was responsible for the Avivim school bus bombing, Swissair Flight 330 bombing, Kiryat Shmona massacre, the Night of the Gliders, and a few other terrorist attacks, but after the Oslo Accords, the group's numbers dwindled. It lost the support of fellow Palestinian factions by siding with the Syrian Arab Republic during the Syrian Civil War and not the Sunni Muslim rebels, and it fought on the side of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
