PFLP-GC

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - External Operations (PFLP-EO) was a splintergroup of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine that was formed by Wadie Haddad in 1972. PFLP-EO perpetrated unsanctioned overseas terrorist attacks such as Air France Flight 139, which led to Operation Entebbe, as well as the OPEC siege. Haddad was killed by Israel in 1978, and Carlos the Jackal became the new leader, carrying out terrorist attacks in France from 1982 to 1983, but it was defunct after his arrest. The PFLP-EO's European terrorist branch was also called the "Organization of Armed Struggle" or the "Arm of the Arab Revolution".
