
Pope Theodoros I of Alexandria (690-742) was the Coptic Pope of Alexandria from 730 to 14 February 742, succeeding Cosmas I and preceding Michael I.
Biography[]
Theodoros was born in Egypt in 690, and he became a monk at a monastery near Mariout. He struggled in his worship and was humble and meek, and he was selected to become the Coptic Pope of Alexandria in 730. He served as Pope for 12 years, dying in 742.
