
Pope Boniface VI (840-1 May 896) was Pope in April 896, succeeding Pope Formosus and preceding Pope Stephen VI.
Biography[]
Bonifatius was born in 840 AD in Rome, and in April 896 he was consecrated as pope after the death of Pope Formosus. After fifteen days, he was ejected by Pope Stephen VI, who was allies with Emperor Guy III of Spoleto of the Holy Roman Empire, and he died of gout.
