
Pompey the Younger (75 BC-12 April 45 BC) was the son of Pompey the Great.
Biography[]
Pompey the Younger was the son of Pompey the Great and Mucia Tertia, and he and his brother Sextus Pompeius joined the resistance against Julius Caesar in North Africa after their father was murdered in 48 BC. Pompey escaped the defeat at the Battle of Thapsus in 46 BC and fled to the Balearic Islands, where he joined Sextus, and they joined Titus Labienus in Hispania, where they raised a new army. On 12 April 45 BC, Pompey was cornered and killed by a Caesarian soldier at the Battle of Munda, Caesar's last great victory.
