Polydamas

Polydamas (died 1183 BC) was a Trojan general and friend of Hector at the time of the Trojan War.

Biography[]

Polydamas was the son of Panthous, and he fathered Leocritus. He served as a lieutenant of his friend, Prince Hector of Troy, and, during the Trojan War, he preferred caution to Hector's aggressive battle tactics. He slew Prothoenor and two other Greeks during the war, and he was killed in the general slaughter following the fall of Troy to the Greek forces.
