Poles, also called Polish people, are a Slavic ethnic group native to Poland. Poland is one of the least-diverse countries in the world, with almost all people being Slavs. There are 60,000,000 Poles on Earth, with 37,394,000 living in Poland proper, 10,600,000 in the United States, 3,000,000 in Brazil, 3,000,000 in Germany, 1,250,000 in Israel, 1,000,000 in Canada, 1,000,000 in France, and millions elsewhere. The majority of ethnic Poles are Catholic, while there are minorities such as Polish Jews and a few Muslim Tatars in Poland.
