Pilot Darrell's House

Pilot Darrell's House is a historic home in St. George's, Bermuda, built in 1795 for James "Jemmy" Darrell, a freed slave and perhaps the first Black homeowner on the island. Darrell earned his freedom for navigating HMS Resolution through treacherous reefs, and his descendants continued to inhabit his home and restore it.
