
Philip Swenk Markley (2 July 1789-12 September 1834) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-PA 5) from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1827, succeeding John Findlay and James McSherry and preceding John B. Sterigere. Born in Skippack, he practiced law in Norristown before serving in Congress, as naval officer of Philadelphia from 1826 to 1829, and as Attorney General of Pennsylvania from 1829 to 1830.
