Phil Meade (1848-1864) was a Confederate States Army soldier during the American Civil War. The second son of socialites Henry and Charlotte Meade, he lost his older brother Darcy at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863, and sought to enlist in the army to avenge his brother; he was dissuaded from doing so by Melanie Hamilton. In 1864, however, he entered the army to defend Atlanta during the siege and was killed.
