
Peter Roskam (13 September 1961-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-IL 6) from 3 January 2007 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Henry Hyde and preceding Sean Casten.
Biography[]
Peter Roskam was born in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1961, and he worked as a high school teacher in the US Virgin Islands before directing a scholarship program for disadvantaged children. He served in the State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1998, in the State Senate from 2000 to 2007, and in the US House of Representatives from 2006. He was a conservative Republican Party member, and he agreed with all of Donald Trump's views. In 2018, he was defeated for re-election by Democrat Sean Casten.
