Pete Ricketts (19 August 1964-) was Governor of Nebraska (R) from 8 January 2015 to 12 January 2023 (succeeding David Heineman and preceding Jim Pillen) and a US Senator from 8 January 2023 (succeeding Ben Sasse).

Pete Ricketts was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska in 1964, the son of the founder of TD Ameritrade. He worked for the company from 1993 to 2016, and he had a net worth of up to $50 million in 2006. In 2006, he launched a failed US Senate bid, but he was elected Governor in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. In 2023, he was appointed to fill Ben Sasse’s vacant Senate seat.
