Peisirrhodos was a Rhodian Olympic pankratiast, the son of Kallipateira, and the nephew of Dorieus. He competed in the Olympic Games of 428 BC, during which his mother was arrested and nearly executed for disguising herself as a man to watch him compete; however, he testified to the mercenary Kassandra that his mother was a devout woman, and his testimony helped persuade the Priestess of Demeter to spare Kallipateira.
