Pedro "Pegy" Rosello was a Cuban-American drug trafficker who was affiliated with the Los Muchachos crime syndicate in Miami during the 1980s. He grew up in Little Havana, where he met Willy Falcon through his sister, who was married to Willy's brother Gustavo ("Taby"). Rosello grew ambitious because of his unwillingness to follow in the footsteps of his working-class father, and he became involved in Falcon and Sal Magluta's cartel. Rosello developed a relationship with Alexia Echevarria, a Cuban-American woman whom he had met at a restaurant and later a nightclub, and they were engaged to marry before they were forced to call off the wedding on learning that the police intended to arrest him there. On 17 September 1991, he was arrested in his driveway as the police cracked down on the cartel. Rather than spend the rest of his life in prison, he agreed to cooperate with the government, drawing a map of La Gorce Island and thus helping with the 15 October 1991 arrest of Sal Magluta. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison, serving only 4. He was released in 1996, and he divorced Echevarria, who became a reality television star. In 2021, after being interviewed for the documentary Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami, he was arrested for attempting to sell 5 kilograms of cocaine to a DEA informant, and he was scheduled to be released in 2022.
