The Peace and Development Party (PDP) is a social democratic and Islamist political party in Somalia that was founded by Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in 2011. The PDP advocated for Islamic democracy and maintained ties with Somalia's branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the party led the government from 2012 to 2017.
