Pauline Hanson (1954-) was a One Nation MP for Oxley from 1996 to 1998 and Senator for Queensland from 2016. Born in Queensland, Hanson ran a fish and chip shop before serving on the Ipswich City Council from 1994 to 1995 as a Liberal; she went on to serve as an independent MP from 1996 to 1998, founding Pauline Hanson's One Nation's in 1997. This party briefly transformed into Pauline's United Australia Party from 2007 to 2010 due to disputes within her former party, but she returned to lead One Nation after 2013.
