Paul Ritter von Wittas (born 1 October 1886) was a Generalleutnant of Austria and Nazi Germany during World War II.

Biogarphy[]

Paul Ritter von Wittas was born in Hermannstadt, Austria-Hungary on 1 October 1886, and he joined the Austro-Hungarian Army in 1907, serving in World War I. He was promoted to colonel in 1930 and Generalmajor in 1935, and he was given command of the 1st Cavalry Division in Ganserndorf. On 10 January 1939, he became a Generalmajor of the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany following the Anschluss, and he commanded prison camps and served in the Fuhrerreserve during World War II.
