Patrick Greenhill was a US Army lieutenant who served under his father Colonel Clifton Greenhill in the US 5th Cavalry Regiment during the Plains Indian Wars. The dim-witted lieutenant relayed his father's request for Texas Rangers backup to Captain Samuel Johnston Clayton ahead of the 1873 Battle of Seven Fingers, at which Greenhill fought.
