Patrician Agnello of Participazio (765-5 October 795) was the Patriarch of the House of Participazio from 775 to 5 October 795, succeeding Patrician Giustiniano of Participazio and preceding Patrician Enzo of Participazio.
Biography[]
Agnello was the son of Patrician Giustiniano of Participazio, and he became the patriarch of the House of Participazio after the death of his father in battle. Agnello was, like his father, an ally of the House of Galbaio in the Republic of Venice. He assisted in Doge Giovanni of Venice's plot to assassinate Patriarch Obelerio of Antenoreo, but on 1 January 785 he let everyone at the local tavern know about the plot while in a drunken stupor. Agnello died on 5 October 795 of depression.
