The Parque Nacional de Agua Verde is a national park and department of Bolivia named for the Agua Verde Lake. The large lake contained several small islands, and the park bordered Tabacal and Monte Puncu to the north, Media Luna to the northwest, Ocoro and Itacua to the south, and Espiritu Santo to the east. The Parque Nacional de Agua Verde was known for its luxuriant vegetation, and human activity was focused on fishing and rice culture. The national park was established in 1990s to protect the flora and wildlife in the face of fish farming from the Mama Cocha Company. Human settlements in the national park included Alicia, Arroyo Baya, and Goyo. After the Santa Blanca Cartel moved into Bolivia, they transformed the Parque Nacional de Agua Verde into a luxury resort. Rodrigo Carlos "El Sueño" Pérez Morales bought a resort to seduce the long list of influential people the cartel needed, including politicians, businessmen, judges, lawyers, financial officers, and experts. El Sueño handed the management of the resort to Javier "Carzita" Coronel Vallardo, but, during the United States' Operation Kingslayer in 2019, the Ghost Recon special forces unit frightened off Agua Verde's customers by destroying Carzita's casino, scaring off resort customers with a firefight, and even blackmailing an Argentine politician who had visited a prostitute at a mansion owned by the cartel. After the Americans obtained Carzita's VIP list, they were able to shut down the resorts in the national park.
