Paria Yelzadeh was an Iranian embassy official in Khartoum, Sudan during the 1990s. Yelzadeh and Maisam Moglai both worked at the embassy, and the two of them secured asylum for leftist terrorist Carlos the Jackal in 1990 due to his commitment to the anti-imperialist cause (which Iran supported with its Islamic Revolution).
