The Paraiso Casino raid occurred in 2019 when a team of American special forces operatives raided the Santa Blanca Cartel-run Paraiso Casino in Bolivia's Parque Nacional de Agua Verde.
Mexican playboy businessman Javier "Carzita" Coronel Vallardo was tasked by Rodrigo Carlos Pérez Morales to transform Bolivia's largest national park into a luxury resort mecca for politicians, judges, businesspeople, socialites, and other influential clients. One of the products of this assignment was the construction of the Paraiso Casino on the shores of Agua Verde Lake. As part of their mission to shutter the cartel's influence operation, Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team decided to drive the casino out of business. The team arrived by helicopter before engaging in a shootout with narcos guarding the resort's parking lot, after which they moved in to clear the building. During the close-quarters fighting, a wealthy female patron was killed. The Americans shot the casino's pool tables and slot machines to pieces, closing down the casino and hurting Coronel's gambling operation.
