Pamela Legat was a British woman who was married to the civil servant Hugh Legat during the 1930s. She was frequently dismayed with Legat's absences from home while on duty in the civil service, but he decided to leave the service in 1938 and join the Royal Air Force in preparation for World War II, as well as to ensure that he could remain with his family.
