Morro Bay is a small town located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The town is located on the lush coast of San Luis Obispo County, sitting at the base of the massive Mount Chiliad and next to the San Bernardino National Forest. Morro Bay was founded in 1898, and it took on the appearance of a typical rural town, as it was home to a church, bank, gun store, and bar. Western Morro Bay is mostly forest, and hunters are allowed to hunt game in that area. Central Morro Bay is home to all of the shops and businesses in town, serving as the attractive downtown area. Southern Morro Bay is home to a large railway station and a large Cluck-U factory, which supplies chicken products to San Luis Bernardino County and Los Angeles County. The eastern end is devoted to hard labor, with Red's Machine Supplies and Beeker's Garage being two major businesses. The northern end includes Paleto Cove, and a few tiny islands are located in the sea. In 2013, the town had over 4,000 inhabitants.
