Pailin Chaladphukhealom

Pailin Chaladphukhealom (born 1908) was a Thai resistance fighter.

Biography[]

Pailin was born in 1908 in Siam. She was married but a failed attack Pailin spearheaded cost the life her husband Somsak and the use of her right eye, which required her to wear an eyepatch from then on, causing her rebel cell to flee to a small settlement near Sukhothai. In 1937, fascist general Plaek Phibunsongkhram let German and Italian troops enter in the country in an archaeologist expedition led by Emmerich Voss in Sukothai. Paillin met American archaeologist Indiana Jones and Gina Lombardi and helped them to stop the Nazis.
