Pagan symbol

Paganism is the belief in many gods. The term often implies ways of worship that are at odds with Christian norms, such as sexual rituals or child sacrifice. Paganism originated when humans achieved behavioral modernity and started telling mythical stories, with the worshipping of many gods, and famous gods include those of Greek (Hellenic), Roman, Norse (Germanic) and Egyptian (Kemetic) beliefs. Paganism prevailed in Germany and the Baltics well into the 1500s, and many Asian religions still worship multiple gods, such as Hinduism.
