Publius Ummidius Flavus (died 395 BC) was King of the Volsci from 396 to 395 BC, succeeding Marcus Crispus and preceding Quintus Clovius Burrus.

Biography[]

Publius Ummidius Flavus was born in Antium, Latium (now Anzio, Lazio, Italy) to a noble Volscian family. He was originally a general of the Volsci during their wars with the Roman Republic and the Hernici, and, following the execution of King Marcus Crispus by the Romans in 396 BC, he became the new king. The next year, he was captured while leading a sortie against Legio I Alaudae during the Siege of Antium, and he and the 157 other prisoners were put to the sword by their captors.
