Outer Manchuria

Outer Manchuria is a section of Manchuria that once belonged to the Chinese Qing dynasty, but came to belong to Russia. Outer Manchuria was ceded to Russia under the Treaty of Aigun in 1858 and the Treaty of Peking in 1860. Outer Manchuria was divided into the provinces of Primorsky Krai, southern Khabarovsk Krai, the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, and Amur Oblast. Outer Manchuria is currently a part of Russia, and most of its inhabitants are Russians.
