
Osric of Northumbria (660-9 May 729) was King of Northumbria from 718 to 729, succeeding Coenred of Northumbria and preceding Ceolwulf of Northumbria.
Biography[]
Osric was born in 660, a son of Eahlfrith of Deira and a first cousin of Osred I of Northumbria. He succeeded his kinsman Coenred of Northumbria as King of Northumbria in 718, and he adopted Coenred's brother Ceolwulf of Northumbria as his heir before dying in 729.
