
Osred II of Northumbria (750-792) was King of Northumbria from 788 to 790, succeeding Aelfwald I of Northumbria and preceding Aethelred I of Northumbria.
Biography[]
Osred was born in 750, the nephew of Oswulf of Northumbria and the cousin of Aelfwald I of Northumbria. Osred becae King of Northumbria on the murder of Aelfwald in 788, but he was deposed by Aethelred I of Northumbria in 790 and exiled to the Isle of Man, where he died in 792.
