Antonio Oscar de Fragoso Carmona (24 November 1869 – 18 April 1951) was Prime Minister of Portugal from 9 July 1926 to 18 April 1928, succeeding Manuel Gomes da Costa and preceding Jose Vicente de Freitas, and President of Portugal from 29 November 1926 to 18 April 1951, succeeding Manuel Gomes da Costa and preceding Francisco Craveiro Lopes. He was a member of the fascist National Union of Portugal party, and he served as president during the Estado Novo regime.

Oscar Carmona was born in Lisbon, Portugal on 24 November 1869, and he graduated from the Royal Military College of Portugal; by 1922, he held the rank of general. He took part in the military coup of 1926 and became Prime Minister with Antonio de Oliveira Salazar as his Finance Minister. Two years later he was himself elected President. In 1932, he appointed Salazar Prime Minister, and he became more of a figurehead rsponsible primarily for maintaining the crucial relationship between the regime and the military. He left the day-to-day management of the Estado Novo to the civilian Salazar, and his influence declined as he reached old age, and as his health declined. He died in office in 1951.
