Orenda was an Oneida village located on the western side of the Hudson River valley of New York. Clan Mother Onatah led the village at the time of the Seven Years' War, and, in 1757, the Assassin Order took the old women of the village hostage to prevent the Oneida from supporting the British against the French. The Templar Shay Cormac eliminated the Assassins and freed the hostages, earning the thanks of Onatah.
