The Oranit checkpoint bombing was a Hamas suicide bombing attack that targeted Israel Defense Forces personnel manning the Oranit checkpoint in the West Bank in 2018. The bombing was masterminded by Walid al-Abed, the protege of arch-terrorist Taufiq Hammed, and carried out by Nasif Hussein Anis.

A suicide bomber disguised as a Jew approached the checkpoint with a luggage stroller as Walid al-Abed and the ISIL-trained terrorist Nidal al-Makdasi watched from a nearby car. When the IDF soldiers became suspicious of the man with the luggage, al-Abed manually detonated the man's vest, creating an explosion that killed 5 IDF soldiers. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack, causing Shin Bet to intensify its hunt for Makdasi.
